moreDeployment modules (D modules)
We developed three different standard deployment modules for training separate brigades and separate deployment elements, so that training can be given in organisation at the scene of the incident to crew commanders and watch commanders, tailored to suit the size of the first deployment. Training in the pyrodrome takes place with full personal fire service equipment. You can choose between having the exercise led by a member of the fire service being trained or by the ifa, the latter choice being our recommendation.
The scope of services includes the use of the entire infrastructure necessary, instructors, filling air bottles and the use of equipment cleaning and maintenance rooms (RP equipment, cloakrooms/showers).
Under normal circumstances, a fire brigade will use its own pump water tender and equipment. On request, however, the ifa can make a pump water tender and other necessary equipment available.
D module A (8-12 fire service personnel)
The deployment module lasts three hours and incorporates three exercises:
- Exercise 1: Kitchen fire
- Exercise 2: Car fire in a garage
- Exercise 3: Basement fire
Training objectives:
- Training in correct, rapid organisation at the scene of the incident
- Training crew commanders and watch commanders
- Training in easy approach routes
- Use of a fog nozzle in indoor firefighting
- Rescues and firefighting
- Systematic room searches
- Communications and feedback
Training costs are CHF 2,070.-- per module, excl. pump water tender and equipment (fire brigades from the cantons of BL and SO receive a discount of CHF 350.-- per module).
If fire brigades do not use their own pump water tender and equipment, then the training costs rise to CHF 2,970.-- per module, incl. hire of pump water tender and equipment (fire brigades from the cantons of BL and SO receive a discount of CHF 500.-- per module).
D module B (18-22 fire service personnel)
The deployment module lasts three hours and incorporates three exercises:
- Exercise 1: Kitchen fire which is spreading
- Exercise 2: Kitchen and living room fire with added difficulties
- Exercise 3: Basement, kitchen and living room fire
Training objectives:
- Training in correct, rapid organisation at the scene of the incident
- Training crew commanders and watch commanders
- Training in difficult approach routes in the event of difficulties
- Correct behaviour in unexpected situations

- Systematic room searches
- Communications, issuing commands and feedback
Training costs are CHF 2,640.-- per module, excl. pump water tender and equipment (fire brigades from the cantons of BL and SO receive a discount of CHF 440.-- per module).
If fire brigades do not use their own pump water tender and equipment, then the training costs rise to CHF 3,540.-- per module, incl. hire of pump water tender and equipment (fire brigades from the cantons of BL and SO receive a discount of CHF 590.-- per module).
D module C (28-35 fire service personnel)
The deployment module lasts three hours and incorporates three exercises:

Training objectives:
