moreTraining modules for indoor firefighting
For optimal training in indoor firefighting, the ifa offers two types of scene of fire module – or so-called SF modules. These are offered exclusively to personnel wearing breathing equipment. Training in the pyrodrome takes place with full personal fire service equipment.
The scope of services includes the use of the entire infrastructure necessary, instructors, filling air bottles and the use of equipment cleaning and maintenance rooms (RP equipment, cloakrooms/showers).
SF module A. (max. 8 fire service personnel)
The lesson lasts three hours (half a day) and includes:
- Introduction to the scene of fire lesson
- Use of the fog nozzle (brief repetition)
- Indoor firefighting with door opening
- Orientation in smoke
The training objectives are:
- Correct behaviour in heat and smoke
- Systematic firefighting
- Safe start and finish to indoor firefighting
- Orientation in a room filled with smoke
- Carrying out rescues
- Efficient watch work in indoor firefighting
Training costs are CHF 1,380.-- per module and group (fire brigades from the cantons of BL and SO receive a discount of CHF 230.-- per module and group).
SF module B (max. 8 fire service personnel)
The lesson lasts three hours (half a day) and includes:
- Demo lesson - flashover and backdraft (F&B demo box)
- Extinguishing assignment
- Flashover
The training objectives are:
- Knowing the most important phases of a fire
- Knowing the connections between a flashover and a backdraft
- Recognising and mastering unexpected situations
- Training in watch work
- Correct behaviour in case of a flashover
Training costs are CHF 1,520.-- per module and group (fire brigades from the cantons of BL and SO receive a discount of CHF 250.-- per module and group).
